Cookies, teamwork and shared moments: when cooking together becomes a truly meaningful experience
Some experiences leave you with much more than just a beautiful memory.
The Embrace Experiences Christmas Cooking Class was one of those days that felt like home — full of sharing, connection, and small gestures that make a big difference.
It went incredibly well. Actually, it was truly beautiful.
A collaboration that creates value
This experience was born from our collaboration with Immaginazione e Lavoro, an organization with whom we immediately shared the same vision and values.
Together, we created a welcoming, positive, and inspiring space where every person could feel comfortable, included, and free to participate — without labels or barriers.
We genuinely enjoyed spending time together, and you could feel it in the atmosphere.
Hands in the dough, senses awakened
During the cooking class, we prepared delicious Christmas cookies, paying special attention to accessibility throughout every step of the activity.
We explored:
- decorating techniques designed to be accessible also for people with visual disabilities;
- tools and materials suitable for different abilities;
- clear, multisensory, and inclusive ways of sharing instructions.
Decorating the cookies was definitely one of the highlights of the day: colors, textures, scents, shapes… Everyone had the opportunity to express themselves, experiment, create, and have fun.
And yes — the cookies were delicious too. 😄
A shared experience, a collective success
This cooking class was much more than a cooking workshop: it was a true moment of connection.
Different people, different stories, different abilities — all gathered around the same table to create something good, in every possible meaning of the word.
For us at Embrace Experiences, this is the heart of inclusive experiential tourism:
not asking people to adapt to an activity, but designing the activity so that everyone can truly take part.
The experience was a great success and reminded us, once again, that inclusion is not only the right thing to do: it is beautiful, fun, and creates memories that last.
